Volunteer Work :
Students at our schools in Latin America have the opportunity to learn Spanish and combine this with volunteer work. For students taking a gap-year, or wanting to go abroad for a substantial period of time, this is a chance to learn a language and give something valuable back to the community. Our schools offer a wide range of interesting volunteer placements, many of which require no experience, just enthusiasm, such as work in orphanages or conservation work.
However, some of the placements are for people with relevant experience or qualifications, such as hospital work or as a medical assistant.
Students who are interested in becoming a volunteer abroad should inform us of this, as well as the type of work they are interested in, at the time of enrolment. Volunteer work is normally for a minimum of 2-4 weeks. There are two types of volunteer work: during the course – lessons take place in the morning, followed by work in the afternoon; after the course has finished – students take a course and then begin their volunteer work.
When considering a long-term course, or a period of work placement or
volunteer work it is especially important that you choose exactly the right
location or combination of locations.

Our
