Portuguese courses
Whatever your reasons for wanting to learn Portuguese, we have a course which is right for you. The best way to learn to speak Portuguese is to study the language in Portugal or Brazil. You can start your Portuguese language course at any time of year, at any of our schools. You can study for just one week, or for a full year. Our Portuguese language courses run at a wide range of levels, so we will certainly have a course which is the correct level for you. You can choose a 'Standard' or 'Intensive' Portuguese course of 15 to 30 lessons per week, or else learn Portuguese on a 'special interest' course, such as 'Portuguese and Dance', or 'Portuguese and Cooking'.  Portuguese Courses in Portugal and Brazil |
| Standard Portuguese Course: |

This course is 15 or 20 lessons/week and is the most popular of all our Portuguese courses, as it allows you plenty of free time, whilst still being ‘intensive’ enough to ensure you make rapid progress with your Portuguese. |

| Intensive Portuguese Course: |
| |
This course, 30 lessons/week, is an excellent choice if you want to learn to speak as much Portuguese as possible in a short period of time. You can attend this course at a capital city like Lisbon, or study at a coastal location like Faro in Portugal, or Maceio or Salvador da Bahia in Brazil. |

| Combined Portuguese Courses: |

These courses are a combination of a ‘Standard Portuguese Course’ and private lessons. If you choose a ‘Combined Portuguese Course’, you can use the private lessons to concentrate on whatever is most important to you – perhaps preparing for a specific exam, or concentrating on the type of Portuguese that you need for your job. For example, if you want to learn to speak Portuguese, but writing the language is not so important to you, you could use your private lessons to practice speaking Portuguese. |

| ‘Special Interest’ Portuguese Courses: |

You can choose from:
Portuguese and Dance ‘Portuguese and Gastronomy’, ‘Portuguese for Teachers, ‘Portuguese and Brazilian Music’, as well as several other ‘Special Interest’ courses. |

Remember, you don’t have to study in just one location – You can divide your Portuguese course between our 2 schools in Portugal, or between our schools in Portugal and Brazil. People speak Portuguese differently in different parts of the same country, as well as between Portugal and Brazil. If you learn to speak Portuguese in more than one location, you will get used to different accents and therefore be better able to speak Portuguese in any situation.These are just a few of the Portuguese language courses that we offer. | Portuguese-Speaking Host families: |

Staying with a Portuguese-speaking host family will not only help you learn to speak Portuguese, but is also a great way for you to meet the locals, make friends and really ‘immerse’ yourself in Portugal/Brazil. As you study, you will learn Portuguese at the school, but you will really practice how to speak and understand the language in your Portuguese-speaking host family. |

| Studio apartments: |

Studios are self-contained ‘mini apartments’, with private bathroom and private kitchen or kitchenette. The studios are comfortably furnished and are available as singles or twins. They are the perfect choice if you want complete independence. |

We can also arrange other types of accommodation for you, such as hotel or guest house accommodation, or apartments in ‘Apart-Hotels’. It is very important to us that you are happy in the accommodation you choose, so please do phone us or e-mail us, to ask for advice.
