Accommodation
Without doubt, the best way to completely immerse yourself in the French language and culture is by living with a host family. Our school arranges accommodation with carefully selected local families, who’ll gladly help you practice your French and introduce you to their way of life. You’ll also sample French cuisine with your new family, with bed & breakfast and half board (two meals per day) options available.
If you learn French in La Rochelle during July or August, you can choose to live in a self-catering student residence instead. The residence is just a five-minute walk away from the school, and living with your fellow students is a great way to socialise more!
Activities
Discover France, meet new people and have a great time with our school’s varied activity program! Cookery classes, French movie-nights, guided tours, museum visits and trips to La Rochelle’s fantastic aquarium are just some of the regular events organised by the school.
Our school also arranges half day, full day and even two-day excursions. Typical destinations include Bordeaux, the châteaux of the Loire Valley, the charming town of Cognac, historic Rochefort and Futuroscope theme park.
How to get there
If you’re staying with a host family, they will collect you from La Rochelle Airport upon your arrival. Otherwise, you can get a taxi from outside the airport. Our school can book a taxi for you, if you like, but they are normally plentiful outside the terminal.
