Learn French
French courses Whatever your reasons for wanting to learn French, we have a course which is right for you. You can start your French language course at any time of year, at any of our schools in France, Canada or Switzerland. You can choose to study for just one week, or for a full year. Our French language courses run at a wide range of levels, so we will certainly have a course which is the correct level for you. We will help you choose a school and course which suits you. You can choose a ‘Standard’ or ‘Super-Intensive’ French course of 20 or 30 lessons per week, or else learn French on a ‘special interest’ course, such as ‘French language and Wine’, or ‘French and Skiing’. Please contact us with any questions that you might have regarding our French language courses, or order a free copy of our brochure. The brochure contains full details of all our French courses and French language schools in France, Canada and Switzerland.

French Courses in France, Canada and Switzerland |
Standard French Course: |
| |
This course is 20 lessons/week and is the most popular of all our French courses, as it allows the student plenty of free time, whilst still being ‘intensive’ enough to ensure you make rapid progress with your French |
 |
Super-Intensive French Course: |
| |
This course, usually 26 or 30 lessons/week, is an excellent choice if you want to learn to speak as much French as possible in a short period of time. You can attend this course at a school in a large city like Paris or Bordeaux, or study at a school in a small town like Biarritz or Annecy. |
 |
Mini-Group French Courses: |
| |
The maximum class size on these courses is just 6 students, making it possible for the teacher to give each student on the course very individualized attention. |
 |
Combined French Courses: |
| |
These courses are a combination of a ‘Standard French Course’ and private lessons. If you choose a ‘Combined Course’, you can use the private lessons to concentrate on whatever is most important to you – perhaps preparing for a specific exam, or concentrating on the type of French that you need for your job. Or perhaps learning to speak French is what is most important to you. In this case, you can use these lessons to practice speaking French rather than writing in the language. |
 |
Remember, you don’t have to study at just one school – You can divide your French course between two or more of our schools in France, Canada and Switzerland. People speak French with a different accent in different parts of the French-speaking world, so by learning French at more than one of our schools, you will get used to the different accents with which people speak French in different locations. These are just a few of the French language courses that we offer. Please contact us with any questions you may have. |
Accommodation in France, Canada and Switzerland |
French Host families: |
| |
Staying with a French host family will not only help you learn French but is also a great way for you to meet the locals, make friends and really ‘immerse’ yourself in France/Canada/Switzerland. As you study, you will learn to speak French at the school, but you will really practice it in your French host family. |
 |
Sharing an apartment with a ‘French host’: |
| |
Staying in a shared apartment means sharing an apartment with a ‘French host’ and possibly also with other international students, cooking for yourself, using the apartment as your own. |
 |
Studio apartments: |
| |
Studios are self-contained ‘mini apartments’, with private bathroom and private kitchen or kitchenette. The studios are comfortably furnished and are available as singles or twins. They are the perfect choice if you want complete independence. |
 |
Student residences: |
| |
Residences vary in their facilities and style, depending on the location. Some of our student residences have private bathrooms and kitchenettes in all rooms. In others, a shared kitchen is available for students to cook for themselves. We know all our residences very well, so please contact us with any questions. |
 |
We can also arrange other types of accommodation for you, such as hotel accommodation, or Youth Hostels. It is very important to us that you are happy in the accommodation you choose, so please do phone us or e-mail us, to ask for advice.
