Where better to learn English than in New York City? Whatever your interests, New York has something for you! One of the most exciting cities in the world, New York has many museums and art galleries, is home to the world famous Broadway theatre district, and is also famous for its stunning fashions! Known as one of the world’s cultural capitals, New York is also home to the United Nations, and is therefore extremely important in terms of international relations. Perhaps this, and New York’s historic role as the gateway to the New World, is why the locals are so friendly and welcoming to foreign visitors!

Our English language school in New York City is located in downtown Manhattan, in the trendy neighbourhood of TriBeCa (Triangle Below Canal Street), which is famous for the film festival celebrating New York’s long and distinguished history of film-making. The World Trade Centre Site and Wall Street are located nearby, and the SoHo and Greenwich Village districts are also within easy reach. The school offers excellent facilities for English language students, including modern, spacious classrooms, computer suites, library, lounge areas and a cafeteria.
Courses
Our school in New York offers the ‘Intensive’ course of 20 group lessons per week for students who wish to improve their overall level of English. Alternatively, a course of private lessons would allow you to tailor the course to meet your specific requirements, or you may like to consider a ‘Combined’ course of group and one-to-one tuition. Our school in New York also offers Business English courses and exam preparation courses for the TOEFL, FCE and CEA examinations.

Accommodation
If you would like to totally immerse yourself in the English language, then you may like to consider staying with a carefully selected host family. This option would certainly provide you with the very best opportunity to practice speaking English with native speakers on an everyday basis! However, our school also offers residence accommodation for those who would prefer to stay with other students.
Cultural Activities
Our school in New York offers a fantastically varied cultural activities programme, to give you the opportunity to see and experience as much of New York as possible during your time at the school. The cultural activities also provide you with further opportunities to practice your English outside of the classroom, as well as allow you to meet your fellow students! Examples of typical activities arranged include welcome drinks on the first day, ice-skating in Bryant Park Centre, visits to local cultural events, outdoor movies and concerts, walking tours of New York City and museum visits. The school also arrange regular excursions to places slightly further afield, such as Washington D.C., Philadelphia, Toronto and Niagara Falls, and whale-watching trips in Boston.
